Description: The Dearborn Observatory is open for public observing with the historic 18.5″ refracting telescope every Friday night from 9-11 p.m. Winter Hours (starting October 6th are 8-10 p.m.

Description: The Evanston History Center consists of the Dawes House Museum and exhibition rooms, interpreted to the period from 1850 onward, as well as a comprehensive research library organizing materials about the history of the City of Evanston.Call for information during regular business hours: Tuesday through Friday, 9-5 pm

Description: Maintains Frances E. Willard Memorial Library and the Frances E. Willard House, a national historical landmark built in 1865. Commemorates the life and deeds of Frances E. Willard, an influential figure who fought for women’s rights and temperance.Offers programs on the life and legacy of Miss Willard; maintains a speaker’s bureau

Notes: The Frances Willard House is open the first and third Sundays of the month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tours generally last one hour. Special tours may be scheduled for any time, depending on docent availability.The Frances Willard Memorial Library and Archives is open by appointment only for research requests and information. The library’s holdings include Frances Willard’s personal papers and the organizational records of the WCTU.
