Evanston has a wide variety of choices for sports enthusiast or those wanted to participate in various leisure activities. Below is a list of the local Recreational Centers.
Tennis Programs
All tennis programs provide a wide variety of instruction, including stroke
development, strategy, court positioning, shot selection, footwork and supervised match play. All youth and adult classes are taught by top area tennis professionals. Our programs emphasize fun, fitness and friendship.

Volleyball Programs
Evanston has a wide variety of instruction, including servering, spiking, setting and
basic skill development. All youth and adult classes are taught by top area volleyball professionals. Our programs emphasize fun, fitness and friendship. Evanston has volleyball leagues for adults and juniors.

Gymnastic & Cheerleading Programs
Evanston has a wide variety of Gymnastics & Cheerleading clinics through the Chandler-Newberger Center. The gymnastic programs cover individuals of who are very beginners through those that are at an advanced level. The Cheerleading clinics are ran by former members of the Norwestern Ladycats. Hockey Programs
The Evanston Recreation Division and the Evanston
Youth Hockey Association (EYHA) offer participation in youth hockey in the House League or Travel Hockey
programs at Robert Crown Ice Complex. Both House and Travelhockey organizations are certified USA Hockey programs.EYHA administers the travel hockey program available at Robert Crown Center. Teams are offered from Major Mite through high school. Players have a more intense practice and playing schedule geared toward a higher level of competition. Robert Crown also offers an adult drop. EBSA Baseball
In all the baseball leagues of the Evanston Baseball and Softball Association, every registered player plays in every game that he or she attends.We also know that the better a player’s skills, the more fun the game will be. So we emphasize teaching the game as well as playing. In all EBSA programs, scholarships are available for all who need them.
